Fintra Beach: The beautiful strand is only a short distance out of town and has Blue Flag status. It lies in a large cove and is south facing which shelters it from the Atlantic breeze and is an excellent location for bathing and watersports. It is ideal for a looped walk around the sand dunes.

Hill Walking: Slieve League and Bunglas are the highest sea cliffs in Europe and are a 40 minute drive away-near Glencolumbcille. These cliffs offer spectacular views over the Atlantic.

Boat Trips: Take the opportunity to charter a boat, from the center of Killybegs or from Telin pier to the famous Bunglas, Sliabh League sea cliffs. This is an excellent opportunity to get a close look at marine life including whales which sometimes come inshore in late summer.

Golfing: Narin and Portnoo 18 hole Golf club, is about 25 minutes drive from Killybegs through Ardara. There is also the 73 par links course at Murvagh near Donegal town.

Pitch and Putt: At Sandfield near Portnoo, a short distance from Killybegs.

Sea Angling: Daily sea angling charters depart from the slipway on the shore road each morning.

PonyTrekking: Just 5 minutes out of Killybegs at Deans Farm in Bruckless.
